Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City West, AZ is looking for a Medical Assistant to join the SCW-PC6-Clinic team. In this busy primary care clinic you will room patients, take vitals, document in EHR, perform EKGs and injections, and support physicians and staff throughout the patient visit.

You’ll work 6:45 am to 5:15 pm in a patient-focused environment with opportunities for growth and collaboration with a dedicated medical team delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Clinical support experience preferred
• Familiarity with EHR documentation
• EKG and injections knowledge helpful

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking vital signs and recording information.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures.
• Coordinates care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling.
• Maintains accurate medical records and billing-related information.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms and equipment; manage supplies.
• Handles medication ordering and inventory tasks.
• Communicates with patients and external partners to ensure smooth care.
• Completes onboarding and orientation activities as directed.
• Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts.
