Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Positive attitude and team player mindset.

• Proficient with computers and phones; comfortable with EMR software.
• Willing to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required; MA certification preferred but not required.
• Scribe training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes vitals on all patients as required.
• Obtains and updates patient information; verifies history.
• Assists patients and prepares treatment rooms for examinations.
• Clean and sterilize instruments; maintain supplies.
• Document visits and services performed in EMR.
• Schedule procedures and coordinate with surgical centers.
• Counsel patients on physician orders and visit instructions.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care as needed.
• Call patients back and room patients for exams.
