Job summary

Under pharmacist supervision, you will manage Pyxis cabinets and respond to medication requests, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.

The role requires completing an ASHP-accredited program and hospital experience; PTCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy technician program.
• Experience in hospital or retail pharmacy settings.
• Registered Georgia Pharmacy Technician (PTCB preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, package, and dispense medications per protocol.
• Manage and process inventory in Pyxis Logistics system.
• Assist with cycle counts, returns, and inventory updates.
• Fill and maintain Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.
• Answer phones and triage to pharmacists as needed.
• Use EPIC to respond to messages and re-dispense meds.
• Compound non-sterile medications per regulations.
• Assemble and dispense emergency trays.
