Job summary

Army Healthcare seeks a General Surgeon to join the U.S. Army Medical Department. You will diagnose, treat and operate on Soldiers and their families while advancing medical practice through innovative procedures.

You will participate in ongoing education, trainings and leadership activities, serving the Army and gaining access to state-of-the-art equipment and benefits. Active duty opportunities include humanitarian missions and residency support.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited US school
• Current license to practice medicine in the US/DC/PR
• Board certification eligibility and GME internship completed
• General surgery training completed and US citizen or residency secured

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult and prescribe treatment for Soldiers and their families
• Perform surgeries and participate in a wide range of procedures
• Engage in continued education, trainings, seminars and leadership development
