Job summary

Flagler Health is building a clinical operating system for musculoskeletal care, partnering with MSK provider groups and clinics to improve patient journeys and outcomes. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with clinics to understand needs and translate them into actionable technical specs, delivering real, customer-facing software.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or strong demonstrated evidence of engineering ability.
• 1–2 years of experience acceptable for an exceptional learner; 2–5 years also welcome.
• Impressive portfolio link required before skills interview.
• Full-stack capability beyond JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with higher-level libraries to build real customer solutions.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in client-facing settings.
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate into technical specs independently.
• Fast learner who adapts to ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand workflows, constraints, and goals.
• Ask clarifying questions to turn vague asks into buildable requirements.
• Translate client needs into technical specifications and implement end-to-end.
• Build customer-facing solutions across the stack using modern high-level libraries.
• Deploy, support, and iterate on solutions in live client environments.
• Feed client patterns back into the core product to avoid repeated problems.
• Represent Flagler credibly in technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders.
