Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Florida Certification as a Firefighter and EMT certification.
• Valid Class D CDL with E endorsement; CPR certification.
• Comparable training or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lay, connect and operate hose lines; raise ladders and enter buildings.
• Inspect and maintain apparatus and equipment; report defects.
• Drive and operate rescue equipment; locate fire hazards in buildings.
• Rescue and medical treatment of sick or injured persons; hydrant maintenance.
• Attend firefighting and inspection trainings and drills.
