Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Technician to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas. You will collect clinical data, assist with lab testing, and support admission through discharge while maintaining patient safety and privacy.

The role emphasizes infection control, aseptic technique, and collaboration with nursing teams in a fast-paced environment across multiple facility locations.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification required by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; exceptions noted per market.
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and EKG initiation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data, including vital signs and specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per COLA/CLIA policies.
• Assist with patient activities and care per the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and patient safety.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and proper aseptic technique.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
