Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Holly Springs, NC is seeking an EHS Associate 2 to be a trusted partner on the shop floor, responding to questions, assisting with incident investigations, and performing risk assessments to enable safe operations.

You will support GEMBA walks, audits, and the integration of EHS into standard work, coaching teams to uphold OSHA, biosafety, and GMP expectations while driving continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational, Industrial Health and Wellness, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree with minimal or no prior experience is acceptable.
• Prior experience of EHS program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the EHS point of contact on the shop floor and provide practical guidance in real time.
• Participate in GEMBA walks to observe work and escalate hazards quickly.
• Partner with manufacturing to align with OSHA, biosafety, GMP, and applicable standards.
• Plan and conduct workplace inspections, IH monitoring, and exposure assessments.
• Lead cross-functional risk assessments and verify control effectiveness.
• Facilitate incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and CAPA development.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and onboarding; promote safe behaviors.
