Indicium AI in Houston seeks a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to embed with enterprise clients, bridging C-suite data strategy and production code in Financial Services and Healthcare.

You will lead architecture design, modernize legacy systems into cloud-native Lakehouses, and guide nearshore pods through rapid delivery while ensuring secure, scalable pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on data engineering with Python and SQL.
• Databricks Lakehouse experience including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• IaC with Terraform; data modeling with dbt; orchestration with Git/Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Embedded technical leadership on client engagements with senior stakeholders.
• Architect, modernize legacy systems into cloud-native Lakehouses; optimize pipelines.
• Write production PySpark, Databricks SQL, and Delta Live Tables code.
• Integrate LLM workflows into enterprise data pipelines; ensure cost efficiency.
• Own DataOps, CI/CD, and IaC governance across projects.
• Guide nearshore teams and perform code reviews to maintain high standards.
