Job summary

Indicium AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer on the US Launch Team. You will anchor technical delivery inside client accounts, bridging data strategy with production code. You will lead lakehouse modernization, build deterministic data harnesses, and guide nearshore pods to ship in weeks.

Expect strong Python/SQL skills, Databricks tooling, and IaC discipline. You will collaborate with Databricks and Anthropic partnerships, architect resilient pipelines, and own DataOps across AWS/GCP

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in Python and advanced SQL with a track record of shipping production data software.
• Hands-on Databricks Lakehouse experience, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, PySpark, DLT, and Workflows.
• Modern stack IaC discipline with dbt, Terraform, and Git/Airflow for orchestration and CI/CD.
• Legacy migration experience to cloud platforms from Teradata/Netezza/Informatica/Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Embedded leadership: serve as the primary technical authority on client engagements with exec stakeholders.
• Lead lakehouse modernization, refactor legacy logic into medallion architectures for production systems.
• Architect secure data harnesses integrating LLM workflows into enterprise pipelines.
• Own DataOps and IaC: write Terraform scripts to provision cloud environments and govern lineage.
• Partner with nearshore squads as US tech lead, conduct code reviews and drive engineering standards.
• Unblock pipelines and deployments, debugging issues at any hour to maintain delivery schedules.
