Job summary

Indicium is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant for our US Delivery Team. You will build and deploy production-grade data pipelines for major enterprise clients, modernizing legacy setups into cloud-native Lakehouses and making data clean, fast, and AI-ready.

You will work with Databricks, dbt, Python, and Terraform, collaborating with clients and global squads to ship solutions in weeks. The role combines hands-on coding with consultancy, data modeling, and governance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production data pipelines in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse platform.
• Proficiency with dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation.
• IaC via Terraform to deploy cloud data infrastructure.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD; Airflow or similar schedulers.
• Consulting/delivery mindset and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build Lakehouse Modernization Pipelines converting legacy setups to high-performance Databricks-based pipelines.
• Model and transform data with modular, tested dbt models and SQL.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform for AWS/GCP and enforce governance with Unity Catalog.
• Design and monitor ELT/ETL workflows with Airflow and Databricks Workflows.
• Collaborate with client teams during standups, reviews, and nearshore delivery.
