Job summary

Qualifications

Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register; bags merchandise and places merchandise in customer’s cart.
Maintains accuracy during the transaction, ensures proper charges and funds are collected; follows cash handling and security guidelines.
Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to answer questions.
Performs sanitation and cleaning in the department; keeps work areas clean and meets health/OSHA guidelines.
Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth function; seeks continuous improvement.
Uses PPE and related safety equipment as required.
May assist in other departments.
