Job summary

Cogent, an Applied AI Lab, is hiring a Forward Deployed Agent Engineer to design, build, and deploy mission-critical AI agents for security scenarios. You will work directly with customers to tailor our platform to their environments and scale solutions to millions of events.

You will own projects end-to-end, from data onboarding to production deployment and feedback integration, shaping how agents detect threats, triage incidents, and automate security workflows for large enterprises.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Strong debugging and systems thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional work.
• Thrive in ambiguity and own end-to-end outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

• Design & Deploy AI Agents — Build security-focused AI agents that can reason over large datasets and interact with security systems.
• Own Implementations End-to-End — Lead technical delivery from data ingestion to configuration and feature extension.
• Integrate the Latest Models at Scale — Experiment with and integrate cutting-edge models into production.
• Adapt to Diverse Environments — Work with customer security teams to integrate agents with tools and data sources.
• Drive Platform Evolution — Translate field insights into platform improvements and new capabilities.
• Solve Complex Technical Problems — Debug deeply and ensure enterprise-grade reliability.
