Job summary

Cogent is hiring a Senior+ Infrastructure Engineer to build a secure, reliable, cost-effective platform for its AI-driven security products. You will join a compact Core Platform team and work hands-on across the data platform, security systems, and the platform layer used by agents to deliver Cogent products.

This early-stage, high-ownership role requires deep core infra expertise, strong coding skills, and a track record of delivering large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software engineering experience with deep core infrastructure expertise and strong hands-on coding.
• Hands-on AWS experience and ability to operate across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Experience with Clickhouse Cloud at the serving layer and Spark/micro-batching.
• Track record of driving large-scale infrastructure projects across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience building in an AI-forward capacity with agentic coding fundamentals.
• Startup or early-stage background (≤200 people) with exposure to larger companies.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data platform storage-level components (Clickhouse, Postgres).
• Make product deployable on-prem to attract large customers and seven-figure accounts.
• Harden security systems across the platform.
• Develop an agent-first infra and platform layer for product and agent builders.
• Drive end-to-end infrastructure initiatives across diverse teams.
