Job summary

Anthropic is seeking STEM Fellows to tackle frontier AI challenges using Claude. You will join small pods to define grand research problems, develop datasets and simulations, and contribute to evaluating model performance. Prior Claude experience helps, and the program requires US work authorization for the duration.

The four-month fellowship runs Jan 12–May 8, 2027, with a possibility of extension. The default location is San Francisco, with potential remote options within the United States.

Qualifications

• PhD in STEM field with substantial research experience.
• Hands-on experience using Claude and Claude Code in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Set grand challenges for your field and define what progress looks like.
• Build comprehensive datasets, simulations, and evaluations to test models.
• Apply Claude to open problems using test-time compute strategies and domain-specific tools.
