Job summary

AfterQuery is building a research cohort of senior ML experts in inference and GPU kernel engineering to evaluate how frontier AI models reason about complex problems. This is research-and-evaluation work, not production engineering: you'll define what is considered correct and excellent on tasks you know deeply.

We offer fully remote, asynchronous work with flexible timing and competitive hourly compensation ($100–$170/hr).

Qualifications

• Hands-on ML inference and GPU kernel experience required.
• PhD or strong research track record with publications or equivalent work.
• Ability to work independently in asynchronous remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic technical scenarios and problem sets within your track.
• Author expert-level reference solutions and grading rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, depth, and domain judgment.
