Job summary

AfterQuery is a research lab exploring the boundaries of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. We build a cohort of senior ML researchers to define correct and excellent performance on hard, real-world problems, focusing on inference and GPU kernel engineering.

This is research-and-evaluation work, not production engineering. The role is remote, flexible, and asynchronous, with compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, not purely academic-adjacent
• Strong written communication to produce technical explanations and feedback
• Comfortable with asynchronous, remote work

Responsibilities

• Design realistic technical scenarios and problem sets within your track
• Author expert-level reference solutions and grading rubrics
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, depth, and domain judgment
