Job summary

Reflection is seeking a Research Program Manager embedded with our Pre-training ML and Data teams in New York to accelerate frontier model development by turning research needs into scalable programs, coordinating data pipelines and experiments, and reducing organizational friction so researchers can focus on advancing frontier models.

You bring 7+ years in technical program management or ML operations, deep technical fluency, and proven ability to align diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management or ML operations.
• Deep technical fluency to engage with researchers on architecture and data pipelines.
• Proven ability to embed within technical teams and drive clarity and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with pre-training ML and Data teams to understand technical landscape and build impactful programs.
• Lead end-to-end execution of cross-team research initiatives spanning data, architecture, training, and evaluation.
• Coordinate operational rhythm for pre-training research, including prioritization and handoffs.
• Provide leadership with clear, actionable recommendations on tradeoffs and risk.
• Create lightweight, durable processes that replace ad hoc communication with structured systems.
• Ensure alignment across pre-training, mid-training, post-training, and infrastructure teams.
