Job summary

Venture Up in San Francisco is seeking a Software Engineer to build infrastructure for frontier AI labs, developing RL environments and evaluation systems powering data creation for advanced models.

You will own projects end-to-end, move ideas from research to production, and tackle distributed systems challenges across Kubernetes, Kafka, APIs and full-stack apps, collaborating with research, product and design.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Experience with infrastructure and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build frontier AI infrastructure, RL environments, and evaluation systems.
• Own projects end-to-end from prototyping to production.
• Solve distributed systems and full-stack challenges at scale.
• Collaborate with research, product, and design across the stack.
