Cognizant Forward is seeking a Frontier Engineer (AI/Agentic) to build scalable, secure AI-enabled solutions for clients. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, data scientists, and AI practitioners in a cross-functional pod to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will work in a hybrid setup with 3-4 days in Cognizant offices across Plano, TX; Teaneck, NJ; Bridgewater, NJ or client sites in NY, SF, DFW, Chicago, Charlotte, Boston, Phoenix, Atlanta, or LA, balancing innovation with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• Experience with software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted tools to build, test, deploy, and enhance software solutions and scalable, secure systems.
• Support AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, and automation solutions, including context and harness engineering.
• Evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
• Contribute to knowledge and context systems, retrieval workflows, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Apply responsible AI principles and continuously learn new tools and technologies.
