Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Frontier Engineer (AI/Agentic) to help build scalable, secure AI-enabled solutions and reimagine business processes. You will collaborate with a cross-functional pod of engineers, data scientists and AI practitioners in a hybrid work model.

You will work with Cognizant Forward to apply responsible AI and continuously learn new tools, joining offices and client sites across major US locations. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with coursework, internships, co-ops, projects or certifications.
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted development tools to build, test, deploy, and enhance scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Support AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, and automation solutions.
• Evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, performance and business relevance.
• Contribute to knowledge and retrieval systems, testing, deployment, monitoring and operations.
• Apply responsible AI principles and continuously learn new tools and technologies.
