Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in San Francisco is seeking an Early Access Deployment Engineer to lead technical engagements with customers leveraging frontier AI capabilities. You will work at the earliest stage of development, building solutions, prototyping, and solving real-world use cases.

You will be a hands-on builder and technical partner to customers and our Research/Product teams, turning ambiguity into actionable feedback and reusable playbooks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering or equivalent technical experience, including customer-facing delivery and ownership of production systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, with comfort across front-end and back-end development and cloud deployment.
• Practical AI/LLM depth, including evaluating model behavior and building production-oriented AI applications.
• Strong product and customer judgment to scope experiments and balance speed with technical integrity.

Responsibilities

• Engage deeply with strategic customers during early alpha stages to understand goals, workflows, constraints, and high-value opportunities.
• Translate emerging capabilities into scoped use cases and prototypes with clear success criteria.
• Prototype rapidly with customers, Product, and Research through experiment-driven iteration.
• Design and support evaluations that reveal model behavior, workflow impact, and failure modes.
• Own end-to-end early access program execution from onboarding to synthesis and launch decisions.
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly across teams.
