Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to own data foundations for Frontier AI tooling and ProServe initiatives.

You will design, build and operate data pipelines that ingest external and internal data, turning them into reliable, well‑modeled datasets for AI agents at scale. You will model data structures, ensure data lineage, and partner with software engineers and product managers to deliver high‑impact analytics capabilities across AWS Sales teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years of ETL/ELT design and operation for BI analytics.
• 1+ years of data modeling for large datasets.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/IS/Math or related field.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries over large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of data pipelines: design, build, test, deploy, and operate.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT jobs to produce foundational datasets for products.
• Model structured and unstructured data so it is queryable for AI agents at scale.
• Design data structures, schemas, and contracts used by downstream services.
• Develop data-quality tooling for validation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and monitoring.
• Ship to production in a high-ambiguity environment, balancing speed and reliability.
• Raise operational hygiene with data tests, monitoring, and runbooks.
