Job summary

NeueHealth is seeking a Frontend Engineer (Software Engineer 3) to own features from design to implementation. You will drive proper coding practices, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior teammates, while collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and the UX team.

You will work in a remote role with responsibilities across the full development lifecycle, contributing to high-quality, scalable consumer-facing platforms and ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.
• Five (5) or more years of software development experience and/or a reviewable portfolio of work.
• Deep experience building/deploying/maintaining scalable consumer-facing products.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM).

JOB SUMMARY

NeueHealth is looking for a Frontend Engineer (Software Engineer 3) to assist in the development of several full stack product solutions. As a frontend engineer, you will take ownership of features and see their completion from design to implementation. On top of development, you will be expected to drive proper coding practices, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior team members. You will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and our UX team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate directly with teammates to solve business needs and drive solutions to solve key business priorities.
• Contribute across the complete development lifecycle, including technical design, work estimation, implementation, testing, and addressing feedback or bugs.
• Lead and contribute to continually improve the team's productivity, culture, and code quality.
• Peer review team member's code and provide constructive feedback to improve quality.
• Create documentation and processes as needed to improve team productivity and transparency.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.

Five (5) or more years of software development experience and/or a reviewable portfolio of work.

• Deep experience building/deploying/maintaining scalable and always available consumer facing products.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM).

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Frontend experience with knowledge of React/Next.js
• Experienced with ORM and API development
• Experienced with coding components and working with Storybook
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud or similar technologies
• Seasoned estimation skills — can reasonably judge the complexity of a feature and appropriately break it down (if needed) and size it.
• Strong work ethic plus follow-through on commitments (works smart to get the job done right and on time)
• Proven track record of high standards for self, team, company, and ultimately clients
• Proactive approach to problem solving (acting without being told, driving for measurable results, etc.).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a remote position and will involve carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Some travel may be required.
