Job summary

Wonder in Boston, MA is hiring a Frontend Engineer to build high-performance interfaces for automated restaurants. You will work with Vue.js, TypeScript and CSS, using WebSockets to connect our cloud and on-premise robotics.

Collaborate with software, hardware and product teams to ship resilient features. We expect 3+ years of frontend experience with Vue.js, TypeScript and CSS; strong state management, UI/UX sensibility, and WebSocket proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional frontend development experience with Vue.js, TypeScript and CSS.
• Strong experience with centralized state management and complex reactive data structures.
• WebSocket fluency for real-time updates.
• Willingness to learn Elixir/Phoenix when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the Vue.js interfaces serving as the primary UI for robotics in our kitchens.
• Build and optimize real-time WebSocket-based communications with backend.
• Collaborate with Product Designers to translate UI mockups into production code.
• Diagnose frontend performance bottlenecks and optimize for high-load kitchen environments.
• Learn and adapt across the full tech stack as needed.
