Qualifications

• 4+ years of frontend engineering experience.
• Expert React and TypeScript with an understanding of reconciliation.
• Strong CSS and ability to explain and fix 1px layout shifts.
• Experience with contenteditable, Selection, MutationObserver APIs.
• Appreciation for motion design and performant UI transitions.

Responsibilities

• Develop the core editor and rendering layer for Notion.
• Improve block rendering performance with virtualization and smooth transitions.
• Implement page transitions and micro-animations across the product.
• Contribute to drag-and-drop and multi-block selection UX.
• Refine CSS architecture for design tokens and theming.
