Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology team. You will design and deliver scalable UI for micro frontend ecosystems using React/Next.js, SSR, CSR, and SSG.

The role emphasizes security, performance, and collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. You will work in a hybrid model with on-site four or more days per week and contribute to eCommerce front-ends, using modern tooling like Jest/Playwright

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on React/Next.js experience.
• Experience with micro frontends and SSR/CSR/SSG.
• Strong testing experience with Jest/Playwright.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP).
• Experience with design systems and UI consistency.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver responsive front-end UI architecture for micro frontends, ensuring high performance and accessibility.
• Develop modules within eCommerce products, delivering high-quality front-end components.
• Model modern software practices (BDD, CI/CD, 12-factor apps) to support integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to meet user needs and product vision.
• Troubleshoot UI issues across browsers and devices; monitor performance with Lighthouse.
• Work with cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps for secure, scalable solutions.
