Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Middle Frontend Engineer (Medical Imaging Viewer) to build and enhance a web-based medical imaging viewer. You will partner with engineering, product, and design to tackle complex UI work and API-adjacent integration challenges.

You will design foundational features, develop with TypeScript/ReactJS, and contribute to Angular work when required. A focus on performance, reliability, and collaboration within an Agile team will define success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of frontend development experience in professional settings.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and ReactJS.
• Experience with DICOM medical viewers or OHIF/DICOM Solid API and client/server integration.
• Knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, and component design.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2).

Responsibilities

• Design foundational functionality for a web-based medical imaging viewer.
• Develop user interfaces with TypeScript and ReactJS.
• Maintain current frontend capabilities while improving performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Coordinate with product and design to ship intuitive, responsive UI aligned with a design system.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as refinement, planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to an Angular-based frontend application when needed.
