Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is building a web-based medical imaging viewer and seeks a Middle Frontend Engineer to design and implement UI foundations using TypeScript and ReactJS. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate science into accessible software.

You will optimize performance, contribute to an Angular frontend when needed, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help scale a DICOM viewer with OHIF. Excellent communication and 2+ years of frontend experience required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of frontend development experience in professional settings.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Experience with DICOM medical viewers (OHIF) and client/server API integration.
  • Knowledge of frontend architecture, state management, and component design.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; English at least upper-intermediate (B2).

Responsibilities

  • Design foundational UI functionality for a web-based medical imaging viewer.
  • Develop user interfaces with TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Maintain and improve existing frontend capabilities for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to ship intuitive UI per a design system.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to backend topic discussions when needed.

We are building a web-based medical imaging viewer that helps researchers and scientists turn imaging data into actionable insights.
