Job summary

Okta is hiring a Software Engineer II to build the interfaces users rely on to work with autonomous AI workers. You’ll own chat experiences, memory views, live run timelines, and approval flows, defining agentic interfaces where patterns are still evolving.

The role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong collaboration with backend and AI teams, and a focus on fast, polished front-end surfaces that scale in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of front-end development with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building chat/copilot or LLM-powered interfaces in production.
• Hands-on with real-time UIs: WebSockets, server-sent events, streaming rendering.

Responsibilities

• Build the conversational interface for long-horizon agents with streaming responses.
• Design memory management interfaces to show agent knowledge and context.
• Create live agent run views and approval flows for human oversight.
