Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the APM Insights team in California. You will design and build front end experiences for AI-powered insights, including conversational agents, dashboards, and self-service tools.

You will own architecture decisions, create rich visualizations, and ensure performance and accessibility. Collaboration with data teams and SDEs/DEs is essential to deliver trustworthy, interactive user experiences.

Qualifications

3+ years designing and developing large-scale software applications.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of professional front end development experience.
Experience visualizing data in Tableau or other data viz software.
Understanding of web performance fundamentals.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
Experience building conversational UIs.
Experience building internal tools or admin dashboards.
Familiarity with AI/ML front ends.
Background in advertising technology or self-serve analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and build production front end experiences for APM's AI-powered insights products, including conversational agents and dashboards.
Own front end architecture decisions: components, state, performance, accessibility.
Build rich data visualization components for analytics views.
Implement conversational UI patterns for AI agent interactions.
Partner on API contract design and efficient data fetching.
Instrument front end telemetry to track adoption metrics.
Ensure accessibility standards are met.
