Job summary

Factory is seeking talented frontend engineers to help build out human-AI interaction patterns that define our core platform, enabling enterprise customers to collaborate with advanced AI systems.

Collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to create elegant, high-impact user-facing features from within a modern React and TypeScript codebase. The team works in San Francisco, five days a week, in an office walking distance to Caltrain.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years frontend experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Redux, CSS, Styled Components and Tailwind.
• 4+ years building scalable consumer-grade web applications with React or similar frameworks.
• Team works in the San Francisco office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to build user-facing features in React/TypeScript.
• Develop intuitive interfaces delivering significant value with smooth functionality and design.
• Design, build, and maintain core platform features focusing on scalability and performance.
• Innovate on AI-native human-computer interaction patterns and modern interfaces.
• Own features end-to-end from concept through deployment and improvement.

What you will do and achieve:

• Collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to create elegant, high-impact user-facing features from within a modern React and TypeScript codebase.

• Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces that deliver significant value to users, ensuring smooth functionality and a beautiful design.

• Design, build, and maintain key platform features from the ground up, focusing on scalability, performance, and an exceptional user experience.

• Innovate on novel AI-native human-computer interaction patterns and build the futureof interfaces for developing software.

• Oversee the entirety of your features from concept to deployment and beyond, ensuring ongoing excellence and improvement.

Qualifications:

• A strong technical background with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 3+ years of experience in frontend development roles.

• Proficiency in a diverse set of programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to TypeScript, React, Next.js, Redux, CSS, Styled Component and Tailwind.

• 4+ years experience building a highly scalable consumer grade web application with React or similar framework.

• The team goes into the office 5 days a week in San Francisco (walking distance to Caltrain).
