Job summary

Salient is seeking a frontend-focused Full Stack Engineer to build powerful user experiences for complex data. You will own frontend systems and collaborate across APIs, backend services, data models, and infrastructure to deliver complete solutions.

You’ll join a small, fast‑moving team in San Francisco, work in person 4 days a week, and ship features on a rapid release cycle. Compensation ranges from $180K to $250K plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software experience with frontend focus.
• Strong React and TypeScript expertise.
• Experience with APIs, backend services, and data systems.
• Own frontend architecture and scalable UI components.
• Located in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Own frontend features from definition through launch and iteration.
• Design responsive, performant UIs using React and TypeScript.
• Translate complex workflows into intuitive product experiences.
• Work across frontend apps, APIs, backend services, and data models to deliver complete solutions.
• Proactively identify gaps, surface risks, and drive them to resolution.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand workflows.
• Define frontend architecture and build reusable UI components.
• Ship clean, testable code on a rapid release cycle.
• Monitor production and fix issues to improve outcomes.
• Surface blockers and tradeoffs early to prevent escalation.
• Advocate for the customer in product and engineering discussions.
