Job summary

Salient, a San Francisco-based AI software company, seeks a Software Engineer for Front-End to build powerful, intuitive interfaces, ship features, and partner with product, design, and AI teams.

You’ll own end-to-end front-end features, craft reusable UI components, visualize data, and deliver high-performance interfaces on a rapid release cycle. In-person 4 days/week in SF, contributing to a fast-moving, customer-focused product.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building production front-end applications.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript tooling.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, performance, and accessibility.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (Chart.js, D3) and building UI components.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive, performant front-end UIs using React + TypeScript.
• Translate complex workflows into usable product experiences.
• Collaborate across product, design, and AI teams to iterate quickly.
• Define frontend architecture and build reusable UI components.
• Build data visualizations that clarify financial data for users.
• Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services.
• Ship clean, testable, maintainable code on a rapid release cycle.
• Advocate for the user in product and engineering discussions.
