Qualifications

• Evidence of frontend accomplishments in scalable web apps.
• Experience architecting modern frontend apps with React and/or Angular.
• Ability to establish frontend standards, practices, and tooling.
• Familiarity with frontend build tooling and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive frontend engineering strategy and practices.
• Lead development of accessible, performant web applications for government customers.
• Mentor engineers and establish frontend career pathways.
• Design and implement modern frontend architectures and deployment pipelines.
• Deliver features with strong emphasis on UX and accessibility (WCAG/Section 508).
• Collaborate with product managers to balance UX and implementation effort.
• Build component libraries and design systems for velocity and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to modernize frontend stack and improve quality.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated accessibility checks and tests.
• Work across the full stack when needed to solve problems end-to-end.
