Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to own features end-to-end from specs to deployment and maintenance. You will drive frontend architecture for modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js, while mentoring teammates and contributing to a culture of quality.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and answer technical questions, shaping the roadmap with a strong architectural perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in software development or related occupation.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Build and own features end to end, from product specs through deployment and maintenance.
• Drive frontend architecture for modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate emerging technologies into evolving infrastructure.
• Shape the roadmap by contributing a technical perspective on architecture decisions and business priorities.
• Write maintainable code with comprehensive testing, clear documentation, and thoughtful design.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews that prioritize quality and knowledge sharing.
• Support the team through pairing, healthy technical debates, and mutual growth.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and answer questions.
