ActioNet, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to design and implement small-to-medium systems using a modern tech stack. You will work with frontend and data technologies and ensure code quality with CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience, strong debugging, and ability to conduct peer reviews. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required. Medical, 401(k) and education benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Understanding database normalization, load balancing, and basic microservices.
• Ability to debug a failing CI/CD pipeline and manage environment variables safely.
• Writing unit tests and E2E tests as standard practice.
• Explaining technical trade-offs to product managers and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Designing small-to-medium systems.
• Writing clean, testable code.
• Conduct peer code reviews to keep the codebase sane.
• Foundational understanding of RESTful or GraphQL APIs that are intuitive for other team members to use.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks, from slow SQL queries to bloated frontend bundles.
