Job summary

Google in New York is seeking a Software Engineering Manager II, Front End, AI Developer Tools Product Integrations to lead multiple engineering teams across Gemini Enterprise touchpoints, including VS Code, IntelliJ, and other IDE integrations. You will guide technical strategy and manage a team of engineers.

You will own outcomes, shape product strategy, and collaborate with PMs, UX, and DevRel to enhance the developer experience, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance UI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years in front-end and UI development.
• 3 years in technical leadership; 2+ years people management.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a New York based team of engineers, fostering a safe culture.
• Partner with PMs, UX, DevRel to improve developer experience.
• Oversee architecture across VS Code, IntelliJ, LSP, Pantheon with focus on UI responsiveness and security.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and external partners to maintain Gemini Code Assist.
• Partner with Vertex AI, DeepMind, Core Developer Infrastructure for flagship innovations.
