Job summary

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is seeking a Front Retail Associate for our Eagle Village location. The role includes processing payments, assisting donors, pricing and preparing merchandise, and maintaining an inviting store environment with excellent service.

You will operate the cash register, wrap purchases, stock shelves, and support overall store operations. Flexibility in schedule and basic math/computer skills are helpful for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Retail or similar experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register to receive payments and make change.
• Follows cash, check and credit card handling procedures and tax-deductible receipt procedures.
• Packs or wraps customer purchases as required.
• Promotes the round up option to customers.
• Replenishes merchandise on store fixtures.
• Assists customers with finding merchandise and keeps displays neat and attractive.
• Conducts periodic inventory and removes poor quality items for salvage.
• Assures friendly customer service and follows safety and security policies.
• Performs basic housekeeping tasks on the sales floor and assists in other store functions as needed.
