Job summary

Omni Chicago Hotel is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to oversee Front Desk and Guest Services, ensuring adherence to Omni policies and standards.

You will train, develop, and motivate front desk staff, manage check-in/out procedures, and respond to guest needs while coordinating with supporting departments. Prior front desk and supervisory experience is preferred, with flexibility for overnight shifts and varied schedules.

Qualifications

  • Front desk experience preferred and relevant to hotel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure front desk policies and standards are followed.
  • Train, develop, and motivate front desk staff.
  • Manage check-in/out, guest inquiries, and issues.
  • Coordinate with departments to support guest services.
  • Cover MOD shifts and oversee desk operations in manager's absence.
  • Operate and troubleshoot front desk systems and tools.

Overview

The role of the Front Office Supervisor is to work in Front Desk and Guest Services areas to ensure all Omni policies, procedures, and standards are met as well as train, develop and motivate staff.


Responsibilities


  • To be thoroughly acquainted with all check-in policies and procedures.

  • To be experienced with various guest scenarios.

  • To be familiar with all technical equipment related to the Front Desk.

  • To be familiar with all hotel facilities and offerings.

  • To understand the influence and importance of all departments on the Front Desk.

  • Responsible for the training of new associates.

  • Must be familiar with shift checklist and be able to run the desk in absence of the Manager.

  • Understand and be able to perform rooms control duties.

  • Broad knowledge of Opera Cloud, Synergy, Canary, and Key Card systems.

  • Familiar with all reservation special packages.

  • Understand all radio codes and emergency procedures.

  • Responsible for covering MOD shifts.


Qualifications


  • Attain a high propensity for customer service.

  • Previous cash handling experience.

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Previous front desk experience preferred.

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • May require working overnight shift.

  • Ability and Willingness to work varied schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

  • Ability to lift, pull, push, carry up to 50lbs without assistance.
