Job Description

We are searching for a Front Office Specialist I with our TCP Medical Group Clinic, someone who can thrive in a fast-paced primary care environment. In this position, you’ll coordinate and perform patient scheduling, greet visitors, handle incoming calls, coordinate referrals, accurately enter billing information, and transmit claims.

As part of our commitment to safety, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate Creating SMILES philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers
  • Greet patients and visitors using Service with HEART philosophies
  • Assist patients with check-in/check-out
  • Answer calls within six rings and direct accordingly
  • Assess patient eligibility for referral by verifying coverage with payer prior to referral
  • Document eligibility in the medical record
  • Notify provider when no in-network provider is available
  • Review billing information
  • Enter hospital charges into EPIC with 100% accuracy and within established timelines
  • Balance payments received daily
  • Verify and update patient demographics and enter into the system
  • Verify and collect co-payments accurately
  • Collect payments via cash, checks, or credit cards
  • Schedule appointments and manage walk-ins
  • Handle mail and deliveries
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
