Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Python-focused Front Office Rates Developer to deliver Risk and P&L solutions for a trading desk environment.

Senior Developer will collect requirements from the AMRS Linear Trading Desk, design solutions with Traders, Risk Managers and the technology team, and deliver front to back with focus on intraday and end of day risk and P&L explanations.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced finance setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on CI/CD practices and automating tool stack.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
