Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant (MA) certification required.
• Experience in any healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with front-office duties: registration, scheduling, data entry, customer service.
• Experience verifying insurance for HMO, PPO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare plans.
• Familiarity with navigating EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and follow through on tasks.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, clerical, and operational support for the Home Health office.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Answer calls and route to appropriate department or clinical staff.
• Update and verify patient demographics and register accounts in the EMR system.
• Schedule appointments and manage new, missed, and follow-up visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage processes.
• Maintain accurate patient records while protecting confidentiality.
• Order and coordinate medical supplies for patients and clinical team.
• Follow HIPAA and agency regulations; provide general admin support.
