Job summary

Coury Hospitality is hiring a Front Desk Manager for Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. You will lead the front desk team to create seamless arrivals, memorable stays, and legendary service while upholding brand standards.

Lead by example in a fast-paced environment, coach team members, and collaborate with Housekeeping, Revenue, and other departments to optimize guest experiences and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Have proven leadership experience in a hotel Front Desk or Rooms Division environment.
• Know how to motivate, coach, and develop a team while holding people accountable to high standards.
• Are confident handling escalated guest situations and turning challenges into opportunities to create memorable service recovery.
• Have strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, cash handling, and front desk procedures.
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing people, operations, and financial responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with guests, Curators, and leadership at all levels.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to keep your team focused when the energy turns up.
• Bring a genuine passion for hospitality, leadership, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Front Desk operations, ensuring seamless arrivals, departures, and guest experiences from check-in to check-out.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop Front Desk team members while creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and exceptional service.
• Build schedules, manage labor, and maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business needs.
• Handle escalated guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism, confidence, and a solutions-first mindset.
• Ensure accurate execution of check-in, check-out, billing, cash handling, and other front desk procedures.
• Monitor room inventory, availability, and upgrade opportunities while partnering with Revenue and Housekeeping teams.
• Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of guest amenities, welcome gifts, and special requests in coordination with Bell Services, Housekeeping, and other departments.
• Conduct regular audits of guest accounts, reports, cash handling, and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support departmental budget goals, expense controls, and revenue opportunities.
• Maintain a polished, welcoming Front Desk environment and ensure the team consistently presents a professional appearance.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, security, privacy, emergency, and safety procedures.
• Partner with Housekeeping, Bell Services, Engineering, and other departments to create a seamless experience for every guest.
• Lead by example, demonstrating genuine hospitality, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence every shift.
