Job summary

State Street Markets (SSM) in Boston seeks an Officer for the Front Office Credit Risk team. The role covers first line credit risk across business units, requiring strong counterparty credit analysis and capital markets knowledge, including FX and OTC derivatives.

The position is based in Boston with a minimum of four days in the office and involves interaction with Front Office Risk and Enterprise Risk Management to ensure robust risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics or business-related field.
• 2-5 years of counterparty credit risk experience preferred.
• Formal credit training is strongly preferred; CFA/FRM designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit reviews of counterparties and prospects within each SSM business line.
• Partner with sales and relationship management teams for timely credit analysis of new relationships.
• Negotiate client-facing credit terms in legal agreements and monitor ATEs.
• Liaise with relationship management and front office trading to support counterparty review of lending supply.
• Manage collection of up-to-date financial information for counterparties.
• Participate in periodic and ad-hoc due diligence calls and visits.
