Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Front Office Assistant to support ambulatory/physician office operations. Responsibilities include patient registration, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, and referrals under supervision.

Must travel to Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Zephyrhills as needed. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and at least six months of clerical or customer service experience, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in a clerical office, or general business, and/or customer service setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments per practice guidelines.
• Gathers patient demographic and insurance information.
• Answers phones and directs calls; provides timely referrals.
• Processes requests for medical records per policy.
• Maintains filing and office supplies; supports billing as needed.
