Position Summary

The front office assistant supports ambulatory/physician office activities, including patient registration, phone coverage, appointment scheduling, and referrals, under supervision of Practice Managers and Supervisors.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments per practice protocols, including obtaining pre-certification and authorization when needed.
  • Collect accurate patient demographic and insurance data.
  • Process medical record requests per policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies and values.
  • Use office equipment and technology competently; answer phones appropriately.
  • Strive for excellence and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Interact professionally with patients and families.
  • Maintain punctual attendance per policies and regulations.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Education/Training

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification
