Job summary

Loews Chicago O'Hare is seeking a warm and welcoming Front Office Agent to be the face of the hotel, delivering memorable guest experiences from check-in to check-out. You will blend professionalism with genuine hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll thrive on attention to detail, effective communication, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction, with opportunities for growth within our hospitality team. The wage for this position is $22.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year guest service experience in hotel hospitality preferred.
• Experience with Opera Property Management System preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
• Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
• Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
• Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
• Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
