Job description

Summary of Position: At Crooked Hammock Brewery, we believe in good vibes, great beer, and even better people. As a Front of House Supervisor, you’ll be the on-the-floor leader who keeps the front of house humming with positivity, efficiency, and that signature Hammock hospitality. You’ll coach, support, and guide our FOH team during shifts, helping create unforgettable guest experiences along the way. This isn’t a desk gig—you’ll be in the action, ensuring smooth service, jumping in where needed, and keeping the energy high and the standards even higher. Must Enjoy the Ride.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set the tone for the shift with positive energy, clear communication, and great service
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to servers, bartenders, and hosts
  • Model “How We Roll” and reinforce our company values with your team
  • Support the training of new team members and help create a welcoming, growth-focused environment
  • Help resolve team and guest issues in a calm, solutions-first way
  • Be a consistent presence on the floor—visible, available, and engaged
  • Work closely with managers to identify team needs and elevate performance
  • Oversee FOH flow during shifts, ensuring service runs smoothly and all guests feel the love
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and team
  • Monitor sections and shift assignments, ensuring coverage and pacing that works for the team
  • Jump in to support service—whether that’s running food, greeting tables, or helping host
  • Uphold and promote safety, cleanliness, and ServSafe standards
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and positivity

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience;
  • College degree is preferred. Degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable;
  • A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative;
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation;
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States;
  • ServSafe certified preferred;
  • Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed, ability to balance personal & professional life;
  • Must work nights and weekends;
  • Professional appearance, punctual, reliable;
  • Hospitality soul with guest friendly demeanor;
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to work in a very fast-paced environment;
  • Advanced written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills;
  • Well organized;
  • Advanced leadership qualities and a desire to improve;
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, word processing, spreadsheet, internet, POS;
  • Frequently walk and occasionally bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver 170 pounds as well as climbing up and down stairs quite frequently during shifts.
