Job summary

Farmshop Marin is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor - Front of House to join our management team at the Marin location, reporting to the General Manager. The role focuses on guest service, front-of-house operations, and staff supervision.

You will uphold Farmshop standards, assist with inventory and scheduling, and lead by example during high-volume periods, while ensuring a calm, professional environment for guests and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role preferred.
• Be able to communicate and understand English; a reasonable amount of Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent basic math and computer skills, including POS and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a high-paced, at times stressful, environment.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Farmshop standards of customer service, food & beverage quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Assist with ordering, stock management, inventory, and receiving.
• Organize and administer opening and closing duties, including full front-of-house setup.
• Mentor and train new and existing employees, and give feedback after each shift.
• Communicate effectively with the team and market manager to maintain quality and performance.
• Prepare and manage required paperwork, including forms, invoices, reports, and schedules.
• Ensure food and products are prepared, received, and served to Farmshop's recipes and standards.
• Fill in as needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Lead by example, maintaining a calm, professional demeanor during high-volume periods.
